This is one of most easiest and awesome recipe for those of you who love chocolate and can’t live without it. This recipe is straight from my granny who is an excellent cook and my inspiration.
Dark Chocolate Truffles-
250g of dark chocolate (I prefer 70-80% lindt or Vochelles cooking chocolate chips)
260ml of double cream
3 tsp butter
100g Drinking dark chocolate powder (I prefer weight Watchers luxury Dark chocolate powder available in local spinneys)
Chop the chocolate bars into smaller pieces, in this way it will melt faster. Transfer to a bowl and set aside.
Add cream and butter in saucepan and let it simmer on gentle heat. Be careful because if there is too much heat you might end up getting burnt taste in your cream. Let the butter melt, mix it and pour over the chocolate pieces. Carefully fold the mixture allowing the chocolate to melt and takeover the cream mix. Once mixed well, chill it for at least an hour and half.
After all the wait finally its time to shape these beauties. I use an ice cream scooper to get equal portions. Divide the mixture into equal portions, apply some cooking oil on your palms and start shaping the balls. In a bowl add the dark chocolate drinking powder and gently roll each truffle into the powder so that it sticks. Once the truffles have been coated well, chill them for half hour. You will be able to make around 20-25 truffles from this mixture.

These lovely truffles can be coated with almonds, walnuts, coconut , white chocolate, orange zest, pistachios, coffee are to name a few. Let you imagination run wild, try something new! 🙂
